I need a good way to organize my artwork. Until I have ideas, I intend to play around with it. Please, give me any and all suggestions, I need them.
NOTE: All my clubs (the updated list is on my current journal entry) have my permission to post my work in their galleries.
This was my entry to the *
Enchantedforest's latest contest. They posted a "Top 10" poll, and I'm in it, so I'm happy. No one's voting for it, but I'm surprised I made it in the top ten in the first place... so I'm fine with not winning anything. It's got one vote, but it's not mine, I voted for jerry8448's piece. Kinda wonder who voted for it. I certainly like mine, but I guess I'm biased. Thanks to whoever voted for it!
A pencil sketch inked over and then scanned in, I tried to keep it to just coloring by computer, but I did add a few embellishments when my coloring didn't meet my expectations.
An assortment of works done completely on the computer, my program of choice is the GIMP, a free program that works just as well as Photoshop. In the case of the Wallguard picture, the squirrel was drawn by hand, but not by me - that piece was something of a joint effort; idea from one person, sketch from another, and this from me.
These pieces all began with pencil and paper, though I have gotten into the habit of coloring digitally, using the GIMP, and all of these were cleaned up and colored using a computer. The sketches are linked in their descriptions if I have them. The map was the first piece I ever did using a computer as an aid. The drawing is in my sketchbook still, but there's not much to my coloring in that, so I haven't bothered to scan the sketch.
These pieces either did not take me the time and effort I dedicated to the works higher up on my list, or they are part of something else, like the crest I designed to go with a story of mine (the blue winged snake), which took me quite a while to get just the way I wanted. Some end up in my scraps, the rest tend to be deviantART related like avatars or IDs, also stamps. I apologize for the oddities in some of the thumbnails... transparency doesn't play well, apparently.
